European Hotel Room

So for our first night in London we decided to get a hotel room...we booked it online in advane, it was only two star but we figured it was a hotel and it was in a decent part of town. Well.....while the hotel really isn't that bad at all, actually pretty decent, the room is tiny. We were hoping for just a standard Holiday Inn type experience, but got a room where if I stood against one wall and fell forward I'd almost be more worried about hitting the top of my head on the opposite wall then the front of my face on the ground. It isn't quite that small, but the bed takes up the majority of the space, and the attached bathroom might as well just be a closet. Oh well, it's our own space that we don't have to share with some weird Swedish couple (e.g. Dublin 3 nights ago). Call us naive for hoping for more than what we got, perhaps we are less so now.

After settling into our hotel room we went to the Thames River...we basically just got acclimated with the Westminster area and the London Tube system. Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament are really cool at night, and while I would like to go up on the London Eye, I don't think it's worth the cost. Tomorrow we're going to do a Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour that should help us see most of the sites we want to. Until next time...I don't have anything clever to say here actually.
